Bend Pocket Pet Vet

Pocket pets include rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, mice, and rats. They can be a great addition to any family. Like all pets, they require commitment and responsibility. Most need a cage, water bottle, food dish, toys, exercise wheel, and hiding house.

Comprehensive physical examinations are important to assess health and discuss weight and nutrition. Proper feeding is the best and easiest way to assure a long, healthy life. At Westside Pet Hospital we perform surgical sterilization procedures if needed for aggressiveness and reproduction control. Rabbits and guinea pigs occasionally need dental care.

Like all animals, if you notice changes in weight, behavior, coat, eating and elimination behavior, it’s time to schedule an examination.
